I just got this Smith Corona at one of our local antique/second-hands shops:

I have to give credit to my 15yo, who spotted it yesterday while wandering around town with a friend and sent me a picture. It’s pretty great to have minions.

The typewriter needs a lot of cleaning and has one slightly bent type bar. Otherwise, though, it seems to be in pretty decent shape, although the platen roller might be in need of some help.

I have to say—I kinda love the color of this typewriter. It’s hard to beat those 1960s pastels.

I was a little worried when I first picked the machine up and heard something pretty large rolling around inside. Fortunately, the culprit turned out to be the yellow Christmas light bulb you can see on the table there to the left.
