Spent an hour or so this morning standing out with friends and acquaintances with signs on one of the bridges over the interstate here in town.

We got a lot of waves and horn-honking in support. We also got a few people giving us the finger. One guy driving by on the bridge yelled Trump 2028 at us, while another called us assholes for “distracting drivers going 75 mph on the highway.” My favorite part about the latter was that he was hanging half out the window of his SUV while driving through a construction zone.

An old guy who used to be on the city council walked down from his house because he was upset one of the protesters was holding an upside-down US flag. When she explained what it meant and talked about what Trump has said about military veterans like him, the old guy ended up giving her a hug.
